SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES
For over seventy years Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio
has been known for quality residential care and treatment services
to persons affected by mental retardation and/or developmental
disabilities. Recently the Home has established a new program of
outreach ministry aimed at supporting individuals in their homes
with the particular services needed to help maintain and increase
independence.
Our supported living team works with each person, on an individual
basis, to help maximize quality of life by:
experiencing a safe and healthy lifestyle
fostering autonomy, personal growth and development
maximizing independence in daily living
achieving a balanced productive and recreational lifestyle
encouraging participants to become active family members
developing meaningful interpersonal relationships
participating in the life of the community.
To reach these goals Luther Home of Mercy Outreach Ministries
encourages the development of natural supports in harmony with
staff support. We offer a wide range of options ...providing
choices...and encouraging independence.
Our supported living team draws on the experience of over 300
staff members including licensed social workers, nursing and
medical professionals, recreation specialists, human resources
and staff training personnel, qualified mental retardation
professionals, and a strong, reliable corps of experienced care
providers.
In addition, LHM’s Christian ministry fosters positive relationships
with churches of all denominations further enhancing the range of
possibilities open to each individual.
The Home currently provides Supported Living and I/O Waiver
Services in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky and Erie Counties in
Ohio.
