This special week offers us opportunities to thank one of our most valuable resources...our VOLUNTEERS!  You encourage the residents and clients you help, and by your example you motivate and encourage others to serve.  You are a blessing to us and we appreciate all you do for our residents and clients...we value the time you have vested,  and we cherish the bond that has formed between them and you.  Thank you Volunteers!

The Olde Toy Shoppe and Clothing Co.

Donations needed

 

Recently our Children’s Resale Shop has relocated to a new space in the Deveaux Village Shopping Center in West Toledo.  This shop provides volunteer and work activities for adults with mental retardation.  In order to provide these opportunities, donations of used items are needed to stock the store.

 

Gently-used children’s clothing, toys and furniture are all in great demand, including high chairs, strollers, infant beds, and car seats.  If you have items to donate we would be happy to pick them up, at your convenience.  You may also drop them off at the shop anytime Monday-Friday from 10-6 or Saturday from 10-2. 

 

The Toy Shoppe is also has a great need for volunteers to be greeters, customer assistance, and work the cash     register.  If you have questions or need more information please call Shawnee Harris at 419-474-3970 or e-mail her at shharris@lutherhome.org.  

Anyone for GOLF?

 

Grab your clubs and meet us at the LHM Golf Outing which will be on Friday, August 22, 2008, at Heatherdowns Country Club  The cost is $75.00 with an 8:30am shotgun start.  Continental

Breakfast & Lunch are included.
